I decided to take a walk through the woods today. It is such a blessing to have a 36+ acre natural reserve basically in your back yard.
The wind is flowing through the trees,
The fresh air rejuvenates me.
Beautiful blue sky splattered with white fluffy clouds.
The sun is shinning down on the barren branches.
Birds chirping and woodpeckers pecking.
Neon green moss glistening on the ground.
Water trickling down the hill.
I'm going down a trail and I don't know where it leads.
It's just me, the shinning sun and whatever nature beholds.
I hear a creak gushing down below.
I wish it were right outside my window
so I could hear it on a hot summer's night.
The rushing water is flowing over rocks and branches.
Muddy trails ahead, deer tracks,
and evidence of little Sol and Dimitri boots
having walked through days before.
There is Peace here.
